First Lieutenant Adams was one of eleven Army airmen killed when their Douglas C-67 Dragon (serial #39-029) struck a mountain peak at the 8,000 foot level, 36 miles west of Austin, Nevada, while on a flight leg from Colorado Springs to Reno.
