NORTH OGDEN- Mrs. Mary Eliza White Campbell Maxwell, 82, wife of Charles Maxwell, North ogden, died at the family home, Tuesday at eight p.m. of causes incident to age.
Mrs. Maxwell was born in North Ogden, Novemeber 3, 1864, a daughter of John and Eliza Brown White. She was married to Warren Campbell and made her home in North Ogden. In 1888 she moved to Liberty and in 1906 returned to North Ogden where she had since made her home. Mr. Campbell died in North Ogden, September 6, 1926.
In 1938 she was married to Mr. Maxwell. She was a charter member of the Y.W.M.I.A. and served as treasurer of the organization in North Ogden. She was a Sunday school and Relief society teacher and had been quilt supervisor. Her hobby was piecing of quilts and she had made one for each of her granchildren.
While residing in Liberty she was a memeber of the presidency of lthe Relief society.
Surviving are her husband and the following sons and daughters; W. D. Campbell, Clearfield; John L. Campbell, Salt Lake City; Floyd W. Campbell, Colorado Springs, colo.; CurtisW. Campbell, Berkelely, Calif.; G. Doral Campbell, Emmett, Idaho.; Donal I. Campbell, North Ogden; Mrs. William Southwick, Ogden; Mrs. Ira Short, Burley, Idaho; Mrs. Robert Gibson, Preston, Idaho; Mrs. George Alvord, Mrs. Lewis Randall and Mrs. Ray Woodfield, North Ogden, 60 grandchildren and 68 great-grandchildren; also the following brothers and sisters; John H. Brown, Logan; Nephi Brown, Weber county assessor; Mrs.Thomas Barrett, Mrs. Ellen Barrett and Mrs. Emily Folkman, North Ogden.
Services will be conducted Saturday at two p.m. in L.D.S. North Ogden Chapel by Bishop Heber J. Heiner, Jr. Burial will be in North Ogden Cemetery, directed by the mortuary, 3408 Washington, Ogden.
