Gary Clark Allred, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 30, 2009 in Spanish Fork, Utah. He was born October 16, 1952 in Provo Utah to Clark Mortensen Allred and Gwenda Hafen Allred. He grew up in Spanish Fork, graduating from Spanish Fork High School in 1970. He was active in sports and especially loved playing football during high school and while attending Snow College.

He married his high school sweetheart, Karen Johnson on April 7, 1972 and they have been married for 37 years. They are the parents of three children, Karley Allred Tuita, Adam Gary Allred, and Jess Johnson Allred. He was a caring husband and father and was devoted to his family. I love ya, Honey! Gary was the strength of the family and always made sure their needs were met. He had a special love for his four grandchildren. He loved spending time with each one and supported them in all of their activities. We'll miss fishing, singing, and hanging out with Grandpa.

Gary was employed by Geneva Steel for 27 years and was currently employed by Utah State Hospital in Facilities and for Nebo School District. He loved the outdoors, especially camping, fishing, hunting, and golfing. Gary was an avid Jazz fan and loved to make CD's for everyone of their favorite music. Gary was well-known for the birdhouses he built. He enjoyed coaching little league and football and the kids loved him. He was a friend to and respected by all. He will be truly missed. We love you, Dad!

He is survived by his wife, Karen; his children and grandchildren, Karley Allred Tuita, Hefa Jr., Soane, and Tu'i Niua Tuita; Adam Gary (Candice) Allred, and Ryah Allred; Jess Johnson Allred; his mother, Gwenda Hafen Allred; his sister, Callie (Rod) Locke; his cousin, brother (best friend), Alan Allred; and many nieces, nephews, and family members who will miss him greatly. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Clark M. Allred; and his son-in-law, Hefa Reggie Tuita; and life-long friends, Larry Gardner, and Randy Romero.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Aspen Meadows Chapel, 1661 South 1400 East, Spanish Fork, Utah.
