Funeral mass for Nellie Elizabeth Baird, late of 1413 20th St., San Pedro, Calif. was recited at St. Benedict's Catholic church at 9 o'clock Jan. 2. The Rev. Kevin Carr officiated. Rosary services were conducted in California, Dec. 29.
Mrs. Baird was born June 25, 1865 in Illinois. She was 93 years of age at the time of her death, Dec. 28. A resident of San Pedro 34 years, she went there from Florence. She was of the Catholic faith. She married Edward Baird and he preceded her in death in August 1924 at the age of 59. A son, Charles II, also died in August 1924.
Survivors are two children, Edward Baird, Vicksburg, La., and Catherine Roath, San Pedro, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Esther C. Hennesy, Canon City, and a sister, Mrs. Andrew Lynch, Kansas City, Mo.
Pallbearers were James Perino, Charles Conrado, Domenic Molallo, Joseph Ruffatti, Emilie Cristoforo and Victor Cornella.
Interment was in the Union Highland Cemetery under the direction of Florence Mortuary.
