MRS E. A. NELSON.
Dora, wife of E. A. Nelson, died at her home in Appleton, Minn., Sunday evening, Sept. 26, 1915, of heart disease. Death came very suddenly a few minutes after arriving home in auto from visit she and her husband made that day at home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Anderson, of Mamre. She had not been in the best of health for some time but was apparently as well as usual when leaving here Sunday evening and her death came as great shock to her relatives and friends.
Dora Anderson was born in Iona, Murray county, Minn., April 4, 1886, making her 29 years, five months and 14 days of age at time of her death. She came to Kerkhoven with her parents in l902, the family settling on farm in town of Mamre that has since been their home. She was married Sept. 30, 1911, to E. A. Nelson, the ceremony being performed at her parental home in Mamre. She is survived by her husbund, her parents, two sisters and four brothers. The sisters are Mrs. Frank Wittenebel, of Malta, .Mont., and Mrs. A. J. Rosenquist, of Bladworth, Canada. The brothers are Elmer, Joseph, Nels and Eddie, all of whom reside, at home. Besides these she leaves a large circle of friends to mourn her untimely death.
The remains were brought here from Appleton on Tuesday of last week. The funeral was held last Friday from the Free Mission church, Rev. Wicksell officiating. Interment was made in Hillside cemetery.
Of this gentle, lovable woman it may be truly said that "to know her was to love her" and the sympathy of all goes out to the bereaved husband and family. The large attendance at funeral and numerous beautiful floral tributes were good evidence of the high esteem in which she was held by the people of this community.
Mr. Nelson has for some time past been Great Northern station agent at Appleton and prior to going there held position of operator for the same company at Tintah.
CARD OF THANKS.
The kind friends who did so much to aid us in our recent great sorrow, the death of our beloved wife, daughter and sister, have our sincere and heartfelt thanks. Especially do we desire to thank those who made the many beautiful floral offerings.
