OBITUARY
Wilhelmina Miller, nee Brehmer, an old resident of Westfield, quietly and unexpectedly passed away at her home on Main Street Sunday, November 8, 1925. Mrs. Miller had the distinction of being the oldest resident of Westfield at the time of her death. Only 11 months ago her husband Alfred Miller, passed on with the same distinction, he having attained the age of 94 years, while his companion, the subject of this obituary, attained the ripe age of 92 years, 9 months and 16 days.

Mrs. Miller was born January 24, 1833, at Pensin, Prussia and as a young woman of 23 years of age came to America, first locating in Waukesha, Wis., where she met Alfred Miller and was united in the bonds of holy matrimony in 1857. To this happy union 13 children were born of which six preceded her in death.

In 1858 she, with her husband, came to Waushara Co., Wis., and located on a farm near Dakota where they experienced the hardships of pioneer life, yet sturdy and determined to secure a home of their own in the wilds of Wisconsin, she faithfully stood by her husband, and success was their reward.

Mother Miller has one more distinction worthy of mention, this union of matrimony had been prolonged to 67 years, which very seldom has its parity. Mother Miller has lived alone and attended to her regular household duties up to about five days prior to her happy transition to a better home which was her passionate desire.

Shortly after coming to America, she gave her heart to God and united with the Evangelical Church of which has been a faithful member for over 69 years.

In 1876 the Miller family moved to Marquette County and located on a farm about two miles north of Westfield where she lived until 1891 when she with her family moved to Westfield to spend her reclining years of life which terminated Nov. 8, 1925.

She leaves to mourn her departure five sons, George, August, and Albert of Westfield, Fred of California and William of Bear Creek, Wis. Two daughters, Mrs. Paul Arendsee of Springfield, Wis. and Mrs. G.H. Hengfuss of Westfield; 50 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

The funeral services were held Nov. 13 from the late home and the Evangelical Church, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Geo. H. Schieble and interment made in the East Side Cemetery.

CARD OF THANKS

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who so kindly assisted us during the illness and death of our beloved mother, the Rev. George H. Schieble for his words of comfort, the choir for their beautiful singing and Mr. and Mrs. H. Schwark for their willing services.
