The well-known druggist came to this city in 1865, he's resided here ever since. He started the druggist business on Third Street in Marysville. Before W.P. Flint's death, his son Thomas J. Flint took over the business.
He had not been in good health, so he went to Missouri for a change of scenery and to visit old friends and family. He died at his son's house, W.P. Flint, Jr., four miles south-east of Saint Joseph Missouri.
The funeral took place on the 7th of July 1889 in MO. His remains were placed in the receiving vault at Mount Mora Cemetery, St. Joseph, Buchanan County, MO. The remains stayed there until they could be shipped to Marysville, Yuba County, CA. They arrived in Marysville on 12 October 1889. The remains were interred in the Marysville City Cemetery.
