J. C. Adams Jr., 83, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2011, after a fourteen year battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born December 16, 1927, in Stratton, Texas, to the late J. C. and Allie Smith Adams. In 1954 J.C. married Lena Mae Ferrell Adams and they enjoyed 57 years of marriage. J. C. retired from Trunkline Gas Company after 35 years of service. After retirement he enjoyed ranching, gardening and spending time with his family.
J. C. is survived by his wife, Lena Mae of Victoria; sons, Tommy Adams and wife, Valori, of Victoria, and Randy Adams and wife, Tere, of Lafayette, Louisiana; daughter, Connie Adams of Cedar Park; four grandchildren, Brooke, Drew, Randy and Matthew Adams.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Emogene Kahanek.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 28, 2011, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Sides and Bill Walden officiating. Burial will follow at Alexander Cemetery in Stratton, Texas at 3:30 pm.
Pallbearers will be Drew Adams, Randy Adams, Leon Kahanek, Robert Kahanek, Thomas Orsak and Billy Peeler.
