Ella May Barrett Eggertsen, 85, of 342 S. 800 W., Provo, died this morning at the Utah Valley Hospital of a stroke. She was born Feb. 8, 1888 in Provo, a daughter of Nathan and Eliza Chesley Barrett.

She married Andrew Echart Eggertsen on March 21, 1906 in Driggs, Ida., and he died March 2, 1954.

Mrs. Eggertsen received her education in Provo City schools and move to Idaho as a young girl. She and her husband moved back to Provo after their marriage and lived in the Second Ward.

She was a member of the DUP, taught Primary and was active in the Relief Society. Her hobbies were flowers and handiwork.

Survivors include two sons and two daughters, Armond DD, p. Woodrow Eggertsen, both of Provo; Mrs. Remola Holmquist, Midvale; and Mrs. Kay (Marjorie) Hinckley, Orem; 10 grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Flora Davenport, Parker, Ida.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel of Provo with Bishop Fay Nielsen officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
