Cornell was a veteran of the United States Army , he later worked for Bartley & Perrigo until retirement.
Cornell was a most faithful and loyal Deacon, Trustee, Treasurer and Usher and all around devoted servant at his beloved church ,Eastview Missionary Baptist Church and he was a member of the Mount Olive District Layman.
Cornell was preceded in death by his dear wife Mary Gant-Forte in 1983.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted daughter and caretaker Dytana Forte; son Frank Brame(Virgie); grandchildren; great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, extended family and dear friends. Visitation will be Sunday 2 to 8 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Eastview Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Randell Landers Officiating, entombment at Oak Hill Masaleum. Final Care entrusted to Osborne Funeral Home.
