Robert Lee Sutton, was married on 1 January 1911 in Putnam County to MARTHA ELIZABETH MAYNARD. She was a local girl, born in about 1892. This couple lived at Baxter and had four children: (1) AUDA LUNELL SUTTON, (2) GRACE SUTTON, (3) HOWARD CAMPBELL SUTTON, and (4) JESSIE MAE SUTTON. All of these children were born at Baxter: (1) Auda on 22 November 1911, (2) Grace on 29 August 1913, (3) Howard on 22 July 1916, and (4) Jessie in about 1918. Martha Sutton died in 1919 and was buried in the Apple Cemetery. She lived to be only 27 years old. Robert later married a widow who had eleven children and whose name was ANNIE CHAFFIN MARTIN. They had no children, however. On 22 July 1933 Robert was killed by a self-inflicted shotgun blast and was buried in the Apple Cemetery.
