James H. Aiken, 73, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elliott Adair, 1607 South Quintard Avenue, Anniston, Sunday morning at 4 o'clock after a brief illness.
Mr. Aiken was visiting his daughter in Anniston at the time of his death. He made his home in Gadsden with his daughter, Mrs. Sam Jordan, at 124 South Eleventh Street.
Surviving are five daughters and three sons: Mrs. J.W. Abernathy, Rome, Ga.; Mrs. Sam Jordan, Gadsden; Mrs. C.E. Tuck, Anniston; Mrs. Elliott Adair, Anniston; James Aiken, Jr. of Birmingham and Earl Aiken and Luther Aiken of Gadsden.
Burial followed at Fairview Church (??) in Cherokee County.
