Margaret E. 'Betty' Farringer
Hermitage woman was active in Sacred Heart church
A funeral Mass will be held Saturday for Margaret E. "Betty" Farringer of 209 S. Crescent Drive, Hermitage. She passed away at 2 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after an extended illness. She was 79.

Born Feb. 9, 1922, in Sharon, Mrs. Farringer was a daughter of the late Raymond and Lucy Eckel Sisk.

Mrs. Farringer was a 1940 alumna of Sharon High School and a homemaker.

A lifelong active member of Church of the Sacred Heart in Sharon, she was a Confraternity of Christian Doctrine teacher at the church for more than 25 years.

Mrs. Farringer enjoyed traveling and singing.

Survivors include: her husband, Curtis M. Farringer, whom she married Nov. 30, 1944, in Fort Sill, Okla.; a daughter, Joanne E. Esselstrom, Oakland, Calif.; three sons, Curtis E. Farringer, Masury; Dennis E. Farringer and his wife Toula, Hermitage; and Craig M. Farringer, Waymart, Pa.; two sisters-in-law, Grunja Farringer, Columbus, Ohio; and Viola Stoops, Morganhill, Calif.; one brother-in-law, Norwin Cargo, Hermitage; six grandchildren, Mrs. Marc (Michelle) Bieber; and Rachel and Vincent Farringer, all Hermitage; and Megan, Angela and Marilyn Farringer, all Sharon; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Sisk; and one sister, Jane Cargo.
