James Cannon Sharp, 87, passed away October 7, 1990.

Born September 4, 1903, Salt Lake City to Heber Chase and Vera Young Cannon Sharp. Married Ruth White, November 17, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death, November 25, 1987. Served an LDS Mission to Germany and a Florida Mission with his wife. Served in various Church assignments; Bishop, High Priest Group Leader, Stake High Council, YMMIA President and Temple Square volunteer until age 86. Employed 35 years with Crane Plumbing Supply Co. An avid photographer and great lover of the outdoors.

Survivors: sons and daughters James W. Sharp, Seattle, Washington; Gerald W. Sharp and Ruth Anne Moesser, both of Salt Lake City; Janyce Zornes, Simi Valley, California; brothers and sister, George Sharp, Salt Lake City; Clarence Sharp, Boise, Idaho; Vera Stoddard, Torrance, California; 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral service Wednesday, October 10, 1990, 11 a.m., East Riverside Ward Chapel, 1100 W. 500 North. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and at the church Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.

Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
