MARION - Mrs. Mada Ray Creech, 83, died Monday in a local hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Marion Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Smith Brothers Funeral Home, will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Creech was born in Barnwell County, a daughter of the late John R. and Agnes Moore Ray.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Ray) Page of Sellers; a son, Hassel E. Creech of Columbia; five sisters, Mrs. R. H. Still and Mrs. T. R. Permenter, both of Columbia, Mrs. Henry Rowell of Charleston, Mrs. Roy Grayson of York and Mrs. Ernest Gillespie of Trazewll, Va.; a brother, J. J. Ray of Marion; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
