The body will lie in state on Friday only at the church from 11am until the time of service. Burial will be in the St. Peter's Lutheran Church of rural Delmont. The Hand-Hasson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He was born June 21, 1892 in Bon Homme County and died Dec. 28, 1971, at the Parkston Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Olivia) Blume, Federal Way, Wash.; three sons, Ernest, Davenport, Wash.; Elton and Eugene, Delmont; four sisters, Mrs. Christina Nelmen, Winner; Mrs. Karoline Batterman, Tripp; Mrs. Johanna Fischer, Parkston and Mrs. Helene Stoltz, Delmont; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
