Son of John and Rosalie Misner Adamek, he was married, a wholesale lumber dealer, lived at 329 22nd Ave, Longview, died in Veteran's Administration Hospital, Portland, of a pulmonary embolism due to circulatory disturbance, source probably leg veins, and squamous cell carcinoma of buccal mucosa, per death certificate 13247, whose informant was VA records. Buried Oct 23 1961.

Fred J. Adamek, 84, of 329 22nd Ave, Longview, died Oct. 22 in Veteran's Hospital of Portland. He was born July 2, 1877 in New York City.

He was a veteran of the Spanish American War, and a member of the Spanish American War Veterans Association. He was a retired employee of Long-Bell Retail Yard. He came to Longview in 1923 from Deer Park, WA. He and Mrs. Adamek celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary in June.

Survivors include the widow, Augusta; a son, Robert of Longview; grandson Lance Corporal Robert C. Adamek with US Marines at Okinawa; granddaughter Nola Adamek of Longview.

Services will be at 2:30 pm Wednesday in Steele Chapel with Dr. E. H. Gebert officiating. Interment will be in Longview Memorial Park.
