Son of Giddeon and Lillie (Boubering) Sampson. He was married to Lilly Miller in Fostoria 29 June 1927. He worked for the Ohio Fuel Gas Co. later known as the Columbia Gas of Ohio. He worked there 33 years retiring in 1969.He was a member of the National Rifle Association,and Fremont Nugents Canal Yacht Club.Dwight had a surviving brother Paul Sampson of Arcadia Ohio. He also had a son who preceded him in death,Marlin E. Sampson age 43 of Findley Ohio May 1972.
