Albert was the youngest of five children born to John J and Susan Miller Adams. His siblings were William Ward; infant Josephine R; Joseph; and Hettie Adams. He was born in Greenbush Illinois and his father was a farmer in the Swan Township. By 1880, only Albert and Hettie were living at home.

Albert and Jennie Inez Pierce were married November 23, 1892 in Warren County, Illinois.

On February 7, 1894 their first child, Grace Alberta Adams was born.
The 1900 Census finds the little family in New Hope Township, Union County, Iowa and 12 day old Herbert Ward Adams, the only son, has joined the family. Albert was farming.

January 29, 1907 the third child, Daisy Bernice Adams was born. She completed the family. By 1910 Albert is a real estate dealer. Grace Alberta married John Decimus Harding in 1917.

1920 finds Albert, Jennie, and "Bernice" in Jefferson Township, Knowlton, Ringgold Co., Iowa and Albert is still in real estate, while Jennie is teaching grade school. That same year, Herbert married Viola Gabel, but they divorced. He then married Myrtle Luella Whitehill.

In 1927 the youngest, Bernice, marries Orval H. Mullison. Daisy Bernice and Orval had two children, Albert's only blood relative grandchildren. They were Shirley Jean and Richard Orval Mullison. Tragically Orval died just eight days before his 38th birthday, leaving Bernice with two toddlers.

Albert and Jennie are now empty nesters.

In the 1930 Census, Albert was 62 and Jennie 64. Albert listed his occupation as gardener.

Sadly Albert's life long partner, Jennie dies on July 4, 1950. One year and 26 days later, Albert joins his sweet wife for eternity.
