Arnold "Arnie" Straub, 90, of Normal, formerly of Ellsworth, passed away at 10:23 p.m. Monday (Sept. 21, 2009) at Sugar Creek Alzheimer Special Care Center, Normal.
He was born Aug. 30, 1919 in Marine, Illinois to Jacob and Emma Ueligger Straub. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, five sisters, one granddaughter and a daughter-in-law. He married Mary I. Mortimer on Feb. 20, 1939 in St. Louis, Mo. She survives.
