Eliger Bennett, Lewis, 68, came to Erath County, Texas in 1921 and then on to Breckenridge by 1922. At the time of his death, he was employed by the City of Breckenridge at the City Hall. He had been a member of the Baptist church since 1904 and a member of the Rose Avenue Baptist Church since 1952.
Survivor: his wife; daughter - MRs. Bill Corbett; brother - A.P. Lewis; three sisters - Mrs. Lula Carey, Mrs. Myrtle Carey, Mrs. Maggie Jones; three grandchildren.
