MORSE - Elmer Leo Morse of Springfield died August 13, 1987, at the age of 63. He was born September 20, 1923, in Eugene, Oregon, and was married on October 5, 1944 to Margaret Alice Stone in Harrisburg, Oregon. He had been a resident of this community his entire life and had worked as a department manager for Montgomery Ward's. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Harrisburg, the Springfield Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 1726. He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Springfield; his sons: Marvin and his wife, Pamela of Christmas Valley, Oregon, Lonnie and his wife, Marcia of Springfield; 8 grandchildren; several aunts and uncles. He was preceeded in death by one son, John LeRoy Morse on August 7, 1985. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 18, 1987, at 10 a.m. in Buell Chapel with Pastor Ed McIndoo officiating. Ritualistic services by the Springfield Moose Lodge No. 1726. Burial will be in Alford Cemetery, Harrisburg, Oregon. Viewing will be Sunday, August 16th from 2 to 8 p.m. and Monday, August 17th from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Contributions may be made in Elmer's memory to the Springfield Moose Lodge No. 1726 Building Fund.
