Louraine E. Black, 74, of Fairless Hills, died Nov. 6, 1985 at the Lower Berks Hospital, Bristol. Born Oct. 3, 1911 in Broad Top City, he was the son of Elsie (Ashton) and Thomas H. Black Sr. He was united in marriage to Pauline Rhodes who survives. Also surviving are three sons: Elwyn L. of Levittown; Alan J. of Harrogate, England and Joseph E. of Pleasanton, Calif. The following brothers and sisters survive: Thomas H. Jr. of Saxton; Helena Breece of Corydon; Katheryn Priemon of Philadelphia; Ramona Boose of Levittown and Valesta Black of Broad Top City. He was retired from U. S. Steel Corporation in Fairless Hills in 1975 after 23 years, as a machine operator in the coke works, having previously worked for the Rockhill Coal Company for 20 years.
