Mrs. Reitzel Death Victim

Mrs. Lovie Mingus Reitzel,88, of Route Two, Hickory, died Wednesday at her home after a one week illness.

A Catawba County native, she was born Sept. 10 1882. Her husband, N.C. Retizel, died in 1942. Mrs. Reitzel was a member of St Luke's Lutheran Church in Conover.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at four o'clock at St Luke's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gilmer Miller officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour.

Burial At St. Peter's

Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church cemetery near Hickory.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lester (Jennie) Hedrick of Hickory, Mrs. Robert (Hattie) Hoke, Sr., Mrs. Ralph (Bertha) Hefner and Mrs. Paul (Alma) Hefner, all of Route Two, Hickory; two sons, Carroll Reitzel and Ernest Reitzel, both of Route Two, Hickory; 25 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.

The body will remain at Hickory Funeral Home where the family will receive from seven until nine o'clock Thursday night.
