Hobbies she enjoyed were square dancing, quilting and crocheting. She loved her family, friends and her church.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Raymond Lee Howerton; her brothers, Ernest Abbott, Roy Abbott and Frank Abbott.
Virginia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; her son and daughter-in-law; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two step -grandchildren; and five step-great-great-grandchildren.
Virginia will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Oologah United Methodist Church, Oologah, OK. New Haven United Methodist Church. She will be laid to rest at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, OK.
