Florence Lucy Duncan Gerberich, age 89, of Meadow Brook Nursing Home in Shawsville and formerly of Pulaski died Monday night in the nursing home.

She was born May 28, 1899 in Floyd County. She was born the daughter of the late William Henry Duncan and Sarah Linnia Goad Duncan.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Ernest Gerberich; two daughters, Agnes Gerberich and Mrs. Margaret Elkins; two sons, Henry William and Frank Ernest Gerberich, Jr.

She was a member of the First Church of the Bretheren.

Surviving are two daughters; Mrs. Mildred Branscome Gibson, Pulaski and Mrs. Franklin (Rachel) Smith of Crownsville, Maryland; one son, George Washington Gerberich, North Carolina; three grandchildren eight great grandchildren; one sister, Miss Nannie Duncan of Richmond and one brother, Truman Duncan of Draper.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Bower Funeral Chapel in Pulaski with the Rev; David Shumate officiating. Interment will follow in the Draper Cemetery Draper. Visiting will be anytime after 5 p.m. and the family, will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening; at the Bower Funeral Chapel 1631 Bob White Blvd. in Pulaski. The family will meet at the home of her granddaughter Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Debbie) Viars 210 Chestnut Alley, Pulaski. Bower Funeral Chapel in Pulaski is handling the arrangements.
