Donald Meadows Steed, 67, passed away December 3, 1992 in Salt Lake City.

Born August 30, 1925 in Farmington, Utah to Franklin Oliver and Mable Lindsay Steed. He married Norma Hancock, April 6, 1945 in Farmington, Utah. She died May of 1982. Donald married Shirley Briggs Grant, August 31, 1990 in West Valley City. He was an Elder in the LDS Church. World War II Marine Corps veteran. He was employed with Bennett Ford Truckland, Creasey Catering, and Burns Security.

Surviving are wife, Shirley, West Valley; children and spouses, Virginia and Neldon Curtis, Milton and Myra, Ronald, Phillip Martin, all of West Valley; Robert and Robyn, of Pleasant Grove, Utah; Katherine and Mark Rubalcava, of Vancouver, Washington; Ricky Jay, of Midvale. Stepchildren, Kevin and Laura Grant, of Magna; Charles and Sharon Grant, West Jordan; Karen Grant, of Holladay; Mike and Jan Grant, Jennifer Grant, all of Salt Lake City; Clayton Grant, West Valley City; Lesa and Shaun Wassmer, Kearns; special daughter, Patty Humphrey, of West Valley; 31 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jack, Betty Jean Parsell, both of Farmington; Julia Eldrege, of Richland, Washington; Dorothy Rettig, of Murray; Maxine Petty, of North Salt Lake; Franklin Oliver of Layton, Richard Dale, of Sandy; Norma Jean Staley, of Nebraska.
Preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Dean Robert, Lisle Urbanski, Russell, Bonnie, Jay Rowland, and Melba McGee.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 7, 1992, 2 p.m. at West Valley Second Ward, 2820 West 3590 South. Friends may call Sunday 6 to 8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, and Monday one hour prior to services.
Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
