HOWARD E. CRAWFORD
Howard E. Crawford, son of Ed and Alice (Richman) Crawford, was born February 20, 1915 in Wayne County near Humeston, Iowa. He passed away on December 14, 1973 at the Wayne County Hospital after several months of illness. He was 58 years, 9 months and 24 days.
He was united in marriage to Glenda Dale of Pleasanton, Iowa on October 2, 1935. To this union three children were born: 2 daughters, Margaret Dillow of Chattanooga, Tennessee; Donna Kasper of Chariton, Iowa, and one son, Bob, of Des Moines, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Harvey, and 1 infant grandson, Curtis Howard Crawford.
He spent most of his life on the home place south of Humeston. He was a member of the Unity Baptist Church and the Odd Fellow and Rebekah Lodges of Humeston. He leaves his wife, three children, 2 sons-in-law, Gary Dillow and Don Kasper and one daughter-in-law, Dianne, 9 grandchildren, 1 brother, John, 2 sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews and many more relatives and friends.
He was a kind and loving father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by those who loved him.
Our dear one has gone to rest, safe in the mansions of the blest, all sorrow and pain has passed away. As he fell asleep at the break of day.
