BRANSCOME, Robert, "Bob", 94, of Rt. 1, Hillsville, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 1993, at Twin County Community Hospital, Galax. He was born in Carroll County on November 24, 1898 to Hasten F. and Susan Bowman Branscome.
He is survived by his wife, Annie C. Branscome; grandsons and wife, Keith and Rita Andrews, Hillsville, Bobby Andrews, Sparta, N.C.; granddaughter, Kathy Andrews, Forest City, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Miranda Andrews, Matthew Andrews, Angel Andrews, Joseph Andrews and Abby Andrews.
He was a retired farmer. Also he served as a member of the Carroll County Board of Supervisors representing the Pipers Gap District for twelve years and was chairman of the board for eight years.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 5, 1993, at 11 a.m. at the Mount Lebanon Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Rush Goad and Elder Carbin Vass officiating. Burial in the Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
