Thomas R. "Tom" Fraley, 88, of Fremont died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at his residence
He was born May 28, 1923, in McGuffey, Ohio, to James & Laura ( Salyers) Fraley; they preceded him in death. He married Nettie E. (McClurg) Kirchen on Oct. 11, 1965; she preceded him in death in 1978.
Mr. Fraley retired in 1982 from Dana-Weatherhead, Angola, after 37 years of service.
He was a U. S. Army World War II veteran and supporter of the wounded soldier programs. He was a 30-year member of the Orland American Legion. and member of Clear Lake Lions Club. He loved listening to music and watching the news.
Survivors are four step-children Jackie Firestone of Fremont, Anna and Robert Geiner of Toledo, Ohio, Earline and Steve Champion of Fremont, and Joe A. and Barbara Kirchen of Angola, nephews Larry and Diane Fraley of Pleasant Lake, and Bill & Sharon Fraley -Angola; nieces Wendy and Howard Petre of Angola, Christine Fraley of Pace, Fla., Kay and Bill Lisenby of Milton, Fla., and Renea Walters of Angola; and five step-grandchildren, and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded In death by his wife, Nettie Fraley; his parents; two nephews, Gary Thomas Fraley in 1967, Willy Howard in 2002; four sisters; and nine brothers
Calling will be from 11 am to noon Wednesday at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont. Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Alan LaRue and Pastor Nathan Powell officiating.
Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont, with military committal services conducted by members of the Fremont American Legion Post.
Memorials are to the Wounded Warriors Program or Cameron Hospice.
