Mark Allen Abrahamson, 37, of Fertile, MN, lost his courageous battle with cancer Saturday, January 29, 2005, at Riverview Hospital, Crookston, MN. Mark was born in Crookston on February 13, 1967, to Howard and Ann (Rasmussen) Abrahamson. He attended school at Fertile-Beltrami High School and graduated in 1985. He went on to attend school at Northwest Technical College-Moorhead. Following his schooling, Mark worked in the Crookston area, then moved to Mesa, AZ, for a few years. He came back to Minneapolis, MN, where he met the love of his life, Vieng. In May of 1995, Mark was united in marriage to Vieng Phimmavong in Minneapolis, where they made their home for several years. They returned to Fertile, where Mark and Vieng started their own business - Viemar Inc., manufacturing wire harnesses. Mark was involved with Maple Bay Free Lutheran Church, Maple Bay, MN. He and his family were recently baptized at Maple Bay Free Lutheran Church. Mark was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing at every opportunity. He enjoyed watching football with family and friends. Mark never gave up on his fight for life or his faith. He will be remembered for his uplifting spirit and will be sadly missed. His love for his wife, Vieng, and daughter, Breanna, shone through everything he did. Mark is survived by his wife, Vieng, and daughter, Breanna, both of Fertile; mother, Ann (Hayes) Tucker, Mentor, MN; two brothers, Lee (Cindy), Fertile; and Tim (Tracy), Coeur D' Alene, ID; grandfather, Paul Rasmussen, Fertile; step-brother, Kyle (Becky) Tucker, Fertile; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard, grandmothers: Ruby Rasmussen and Edna Abrahamson
