Mrs. Anna A. BARTHOLOMAI, 78 years old, of 512 1/2 Connell avenue, widow of Anthony Bartholomai, who died in July, nine years ago, passed away Sunday afternoon at 2:50 o'clock following a lingering illness of three years from complications. She had been living with a daughter, Mrs. William Hartz, for the past 10 years when she was summoned by death. She was born in Germany and came to this country when but a young girl. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and the Christian Mothers.
Mrs. Bartholomai is survived by four daughters and three sons as follows: Mrs. Anna Rohland of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Grace Rittenberger of Smock, Mrs. Henry Geiger, Mrs. William Hartz, Joseph and George, all of Connellsville, and Anthony of Uniontown. There are 53 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Wednesday morning. The cortège will meet at the Hartz home at 8:30 o'clock. Requiem high mass will be celebrated at 9 o'clock at the Immaculate Conception church with Rev. Father Henry Geibel, pastor, officiating. Interment will be made in old St. Joseph's Cemetery. The Confraternity of Christian Mothers will meet at the Bartholomai home this evening at 7:30 o'clock to recite the rosary.
