Set Rites For Mrs. Anna Friesz Sunday, Dec. 27
Funeral rites for Mrs. Anna Friesz, 67, who died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Koffler of Glendive, Mont., will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. from St. Joseph's church in Dickinson. The Rev. George P. Aberle will officiate. Interment will be in St. Joseph's cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of St. Anthony's society. Death was attributed to a stroke and followed an illness of several months. Mrs. Friesz had been living at the home of her daughter for nearly two years. Mrs. Friesz was born Anna Koch in Russia. She came to the United States with her husband, John Friesz, about 30 years ago, and had lived in Dickinson since that time until she went to Glendive. Mrs. Friesz (should be Mr.) died about four years ago. Surviving relatives include nine children: Peter of Mansfield, O.; Joe of Sidney, Mont.; Martin of Oregon; Mrs. Koffler of Glendive; Mrs. Matt Koffler of Oregon; Mrs. Matilda Rice, Mandan; Frances and Lena of San Francisco, Calif.; and Nellie of Chicago. Several brothers, including Frank and Roy of Mandan, Henry on the West Coast and Ralph of Minneapolis, and four sisters, Mrs. Peter Schlosser of Bismark, Mrs. R.J. Ehli of Dickinson, Mrs. Matt Brown of Sentinel Butte and Mrs. Esther Schoppe of Mansfield, also survive. The body will lie in state at the Mischel Funeral home.
