Aunt Merle was one the kindest women I have ever known. She was also a great cook. She and I shared one thing in common, both of us loved my grandfather, Charlie, dearly. They were very close siblings in life and death. The news of his death caused her own heart to give out and she passed away the next day after him. She had 2 sons, Charles and James and 2 daughters, Tootsie and Rachel. She had 2 granddaughters and 4 grandsons. It was well known that her husband, Uncle John Sargent was the best house builder around.
