Nila, age 86, was the daughter of Frank and Alice (Hill) England. She was the wife of William Ramsey. They were married on December 20, 1926, in Tazewell, TN. Sadly, William preceded her in passing on Jan. 5, 1982. Services were held at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church; the Rev. Damon Patterson officiated. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle, Mi. Nila had worked for 30 years as a machine operator for Woodall Industries, of Monroe, and retired in 1972. She was a member of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was involved in several of the church organizations. Nila was survived by a son, Lloyd of Hayesville, N.C.; a daughter, Mrs. Damon (Lois) Patterson of Monroe; two sisters, Grace Parks of Tazewell, and Dorothy Lindt of Wichita, Kansas; ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by a son, Ernest William, and eleven brothers.
