MRS. ELIZABETH GEIGER, AGED 85, DIED LAST NIGHT
Pioneer of This County Expires at Home of Son, Adam Geiger, Third Avenue and Spruce -- Funeral Tomorrow Morning

Mrs. Elizabeth Geiger, 85 years old, a Leavenworth County pioneer, died last night at the home of her son, Adam M. Geiger, Third avenue and Spruce street. Death was due to old age. Mrs. Geiger, who had been living with relatives in Kansas City, was visiting her son at the time of her death.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock at the home of Adam Geiger. The remains will then be taken to Kansas City where services will be held at the former home of the deceased, 3214 Roanoke Boulevard at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning. Burial will be made at Kansas City.
Mrs. Elizabeth Geiger was born at Hessen-Darmstadt, Germany in 1833. When 20 years old she immigrated to America and three years later settled in this part of the country. Her husband, Gottlieb Geiger, a former resident and contractor of this city, died fifteen years ago.
Mrs. Geiger is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Neubauer, Mrs. Peter Guenther, and Mrs. F. W. Krumm, all of Kansas City, and two sons, Henry, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Adam M. Geiger of Leavenworth. Nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren are also left to mourn her loss.
