MARY EVANS, 80, of Perrysville, died Friday morning, October 21, 2011, in her home following a two-week illness.
Mary was born March 15, 1931 in Hitchins, Kentucky, the daughter of the late John Albert and Sara Lettie (Hay) Collier. Mary had lived in Perrysville since 1975 moving from Mansfield where she had lived for many years. She owned and operated Mary's Cleaning Service for many years and was a retired employee of The Flxible Company, working in the paint department. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her family was the most important thing in her life.
Mary is survived by one son: Orandged (Debra) Evans Jr. of Mansfield; two daughters: Dale (Jim) Rhodes of Perrysville, and Tracey Owens of Mansfield; 11 grandchildren: Cassandra (Michael) McCaskey, Jeff (Jackie) Barker, Bo (Jodi) Thompson, Tonia (Jerry) Riley, Wade Thompson, Vanessa (Darby) Mitchell, Jimmie (Kristen) Evans, Sarah Bugg, Ellie Evans, Sierra Frank, and her special grandson who lived with her, Nick Frank; 13 great-grandchildren: Kenny and Bryce McCaskey, Becky Lewis, Katelin Thompson, Koty (Alyssa Crawford) Riley, Brandy Riley, Alexis and Wade Thompson, Alan and Samuel Mitchell, Chloe, Alayna, and Natalie Evans; and 5 great-great-grandchildren: Anthony and Evan Lewis, Ava Cornell, Lily Crawford, and Brody "Munch" Riley; one sister: Magelene Parsons of Grayson, Kentucky and her beloved dog, "Taco".
She was preceded in death by her husband: Howard Wright; 2 daughters: Edna Thompson and Theresa Barker and her husband Harold; 2 grandsons: Kenny Wright and Jeremy Thompson; 1 great-granddaughter: Rya Evans; and 8 brothers and sisters: Ulysses, Albert Jr., Arnold, Kenneth, Kathleen, Imagene, Lillian and Joyce.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 24, at 1:00 p.m. in the Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with Rev. Howard Burnett, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville. Friends may call one hour prior to services on Monday in the funeral home.
