"Evelyn Virginia Olsommer, 83, of 3885 Forest Inn Road, Aquashicola, died Wednesday, June 16, in Palmerton Hospital.
She was a sewing machine operator for Fernbrook, Palmerton, for 20 years before retiring in 1976. Previously, she was a sewing machine operator at Scotty's Fashions, Lehighton, and owner and operator of the former Edgemont Hotel, Danielsville, and the former Always Inn Restaurant, Trachsville.
Born in Rammerville, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Peter E. and Bertha (Rhineheart) Hayes.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Aquashicola.
Survivors: Daughters, Bertha V., wife of Nathan Neeb of Lehighton, and Nancy E., wife of Larry L. Borger of Aquashicola; sisters, Catherine, wife of Kenneth Mosher of Phillipsburg, and Naomi Dymond of East Stroudsburg, seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Peggy Ann.
