Mrs. Jane Milton dead
Mrs. Jane Milton died at the home of her daughter in Keeton, Okla, Saturday, June 21 1931 , at the age 84 years. Her husband Jess A. Milton, preceded her in death two years ago. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church, having joined 65 years ago. She was a sister of Elder W.A. Barhams. Her passing leaves Elder Barhamas the only survivor of a large, very influential and highly respected family. Mrs Milton contributed much to the glory of that constructive pioneer family in helping to instill the highest ideals of Christians living into the family raised. Beside her brother, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs Catherine Anderson of Ozark. Mrs. Alice Anderson of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Sarah Childers of Keeton, Mrs. Ethel Gillespie of Muskogee, and several grandchildren. She was buried at the family Graveyard, 12 miles north of Ozark June 21st, 1931 services were conducted by J.L. McClellan. Jesse McLaughlin said that Demus Rogers told him that Greers herse brought Mrs. Milton body from Ozark to the entrance road into the woods and that he took the casket in a wagon to the cemetery
