He was born on Dec. 20, 1917, to Norman Reeve and Myrtle Wehl in Riverhead. He is survived by his wife, V. Avis (nee Tuthill); a son, Richard L., of Riverhead; a daughter, Susan, of Fonda, N.Y.; a sister, Dr. Caryl Granttham of Riverhead; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
