I notice that Jack Barron wrote that Gabriel Bell "married Mary "Molly" Akers, daughter of Simon [Akers], on 16 Mar. 1817 in Clark County, Indiana, by Thomas Akers." [Jack Barron's Book file dated 6/2008 sent to me from Jack Barron of Topeka Kansas, c2008] So it does look like we know her father's name, Simon Akers, and also that Simon was of Wood Township, Clark Co., Indiana [same source]--Thanks Jack!
I note that I originally made this entry with his year of birth as 1817 or perhaps this was what Autograver had posted, at the point it was transferred to me; but rechecking tonight on p463 of Pat and Paul Coffman's wonderful book, I see 1 Jan 1818, Clark Co IN given as a calculated birth date-- calculated from death records. So it is either 1817 or 1818 it seems... It also tells us here that Uriah's funeral (3 Apr) was from the residence of his son, John Bell, Elmwood Place, Cincinnati; this John Bell was to be a son of his 3rd wife, Mary Shields.
I have not located the burial location for his 4th wife, Rebecca Gover [Given??] whom he married 30 Apr 1858, Clark Co. IN. Oliver Bardes wrote that Uriah and Rebecca were in Coles Co. IL by 1864. Could she be in Newman Twp., Douglas Co. IL, where she (age 60) was perhaps with a son? Samuel Given/Gover? in 1880 census [as per Oliver Pape Bardes's c1999 hard copy chronologies]
Such an 1880 FCIL exists with son's surname spelled Giver here, but it is unknown if this is relevant:"United States Census, 1880," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MXJ8-FXN : accessed 24 July 2015), Samuel Giver in household of Rebecca Bell, Newman, Douglas, Illinois, United States. Gravesite Details
No family monument, nor personal marker in Bell family plot; someone still needs to buy one--I had no luck making requests years ago...
