Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon in the Boetzer Funeral Home, Chatfield, Rev. George W. McMary officating, and he was laid to rest beside his wife in the Saratoga Cemetery.
Mr. Persons was born in Pilot Mound Township April 29, 1869, and married Miss Anna Durfey, and they farmed near Pilot Mound. She passed away several years ago. Mr. Persons leaves to mourn his departure a son, Dayton of Billings, Montana, a daughter Louisa (Mrs. J. Herbert Bamford) of Oakland, California; and two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. All have our sympathy.
