Son of Rev. Francis Tufts, and Lydia (Blunt) Blackstone TUFTS. (Lydia d. in Maine, 1830...cemetery unk.) Lydia was second wife of Francis, as Sarah Blunt Tufts had d. the year before he mar. Sarah; probably they were sisters.
He had seven children by Sarah, and four by Lydia:
John, Demsariscotia, ME; Josiah, Ohio; Sarah, m. Moses Greely; they moved to Ohio; and Mary, m. Francis Butler, Esq, in Maine, and they are bur. in Riverside Cem. Farmington, ME.

Josiah Tufts married Jane (Greely) Tufts, 22 Jan. 1803, at Farmington, Franklin co. ME, and they moved to Maineville, OH about 1817, their daughter, Lydia, was eleven yrs of age. Jane d. 1862. They had other children.
Jane's father was Seth GREELY (1737-1825) also of Maine, but had come to Maineville in 1815.
