Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery for Taft resident Eddie W. Barnard, 74. Pastor of the Free Will baptist Church will officiate at the services.
Barnard was born in Pulski County, Mo., Sept. 23, 1916 and passed away at the local Taft hospital on Saturday evening.
He had lived in Kern County for the last 34 years and had been employed as a head well puller for Getty Oil Co. for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, five sons, two sisters, and eight grandchildren.
