Edith Rachel Hettenbach

Edith Rachel (Gregg) Hettenbach, loving mother and grandmother passed away Wed., July 7, 1999, at Cushing Regional Hospital in Cushing at the age of 73.

Edith was born Jan., 24, 1926 on Turkey Creek, west of Hominy to Eunice Mary (Owsley) and Oliver Gregg. She was raised in Hominy and attended Hominy schools. Edith was united in marriage to George Junior Hettenbach on Nov. 2, 1945 and they were blessed with seven children. Edith loved her family and was completely devoted to them.

Survivors include six children: Sean Garner of Lander, Wyoming. Eunice Rankin of Skiatook, Edith Sampson of Jennings, Alena Miller of Mounds, Patty Wright of Lander, Wyoming, and Mary Ballard of Mounds: 22 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son George Oliver Hettenbach, and one grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Mon. July 12,at the Church of Christ in Hominy. Interment followed at the A. J. Powell Cemetery under the direction of Powell Funeral Home.
