Mrs. Early's Rites Today
Funeral Services Will Be Held From Linville Creek Church At 3 P. M.
Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Racer Early, widow of the late Samuel H. Early and a well known resident of Broadway, who died suddenly Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Zeph L. Wise, of Weyers Cave, will be held this (Saturday) afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Linville Creek Church of the Brethren.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Mr. Zigler and Rev. S.D. Lindsay.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Moyers, D. C. Acker, John Bear, Calvin Emswiler, Luke Showalter and Charles Taylor.
Mrs. Early was born near Luray on December 31, 1859, and following her marriage to Mr. Early on April 17, 1892, moved to Broadway where she has since made her home. Her husband preceded her in death two years ago.
She was a faithful member of the Linville Creek Church of the Brethren. A devoted wife and mother and a good neighbor, she will be missed in the community where she resided.
Surviving are two children, Mrs. Ruth Wise, of Weyers Cave, and Frank Early, of Pittsburgh and the following stepchildren; Simon Early, of Mt. Wolfe, Pa.; Mrs. Mattie Cline, of St. Joseph, Mo.; Mrs. Joe Crist, of Bridgewater; Mrs. Charles Shutters, of Quicksburg and R. A. Early ,of North River. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Dorothy Anne and Bobby Early, of Broadway, and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Sallie Kline, of Broadway; Mrs. Mary Kibler and Rev. J. A. Racer, of Luray, and W. L. Racer, of York Springs, Pa.
