Sarah Estby married Bronson Lee, son of Stephen and Eli Lee, on March 27, 1883, in Buffalo County, Nebraska.

Portion of a letter to Ray Lee from Leona (Lund) Mattielli, daughter of Mabel (Lee) Lund, and granddaughter of Bronson and Sarah (Estby) Lee; March 27, 1977:

"Our Grandma, Sarah, and Grandpa Bronson, had a good homestead farm, but Sarah wanted to buy a hotel in Holdrege, Nebraska, (SW of Kearney, NE) so they sold the farm and bought the hotel. She worked very hard in it and died soon after in childbirth. The children went to live with their grandparents, the Estbys. About two years later a big windstorm came up and a large barn door blew shut and hit their grandfather. He walked to the house but died soon after. The children stayed with the grandma about three years until she died. Then the girls boarded out with friends and relatives and Oscar and grandpa (Leona's grandfather) farmed. The girls came home and lived with them later."
Note: Sarah's parents, Ole Johnson Estby died April 1897, Carrie Estby died January 1901.
Buffalo Co., (Nebraska) marriages, vol. 2, 1883, lists the parents of Sarah J. Estby as Ole Estby and Carrie Heningson (27 March 1883)
