Ruth Phipps (nee Banister) Lincoln, was the daughter of Dr. Cranmer BANISTER M.D. And Tryphosa MANN. She was born July 26, 1816 in Pownal, Bennington County, Vermont.
Ruth married Lewis LINCOLN, son of Jonathan LINCOLN and Amy Anne Diana NORTHRUP on April 10, 1840 in Lanesborough, Berkshire County, Massachusetts. They had two children: Celestia Tryphosa "Lettie" and Fidelia Diana. Lettie T. was a graduate of Troy Conference Academy and married Alonzo Raynor of Manorville, Suffolk County, NY. Fidelia died of diphtheria in 1864 at the age of 21.
Ruth died on 14 Dec 1870 of Pownal, Bennington Co., Vermont.
