Lucinda is the daughter of Orville Sutherland Cox and Eliza (Elizabeth)Jane Losee-Cox. She was their first born child. She died when she she was Two years old. She took her pail to the creek to get some water, the quicksand caused her to slip and she drowned. Her parents lost a second baby daughter on November 17,1866. she died two days after her birth. Her name was Sarah Jane.
