James "Jim" W. Rambo, 67, of Jacksonville, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2011. He served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran. Jim retired from the United States Postal Service after 33 years of service and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Shirley Roetzel Rambo; daughters, Lisa (Lee) Johnson, Amy (Justin) Belew, Tammy Rambo and Jennifer Rambo all of Jacksonville; three granddaughters, Lillian, Hailee and Tate, with one grandson on the way; sisters, Betty Byard, Lorene (Lee) Hill all of Jacksonville, Cecil Jean (G.W.) Short of Little Rock; and a host of nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Dorsey and Ida Mae Rambo; daughter, Angel Rambo; sister, Mary Marie Rambo; two brothers, Frank Rambo and Dorsey Rambo, Jr..
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Burial will be in Cypress Valley Cemetery, Vilonia, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at North Little Rock funeral home.
